Perhaps many people think that bedsores are caused by being bedridden for a long time. In fact, most bedsores are not caused by being bedridden. Instead, they are caused by the severe stress on the buttocks from frequent use of electric wheelchairs. Generally, the main site of the disease is located in the buttocks.
Today, YOUHA electric wheelchair manufacturer teaches you a few tips on how to prevent pressure ulcers on electric wheelchairs:
1. Press the guardrail of the electric wheelchair and support the pressure reduction method with both hands: support the body to extend the buttocks.
The sports electric wheelchair does not have guardrails. It can press the two wheel wheels to support the weight of the point itself to relieve pressure on the buttocks.
Remember to stop the wheel before decompressing.
2. Bilateral tilting to decompress: For injured people with poor upper limb strength who cannot support their body, they can tilt their body sideways so that one hip leaves the cushion. After a few minutes, replace the other hip with the other side stretched out. Reduce pressure on your buttocks.
3. Stretch forward to decompress the body: Stretch the body forward, press both sides of the feet with both hands, the fulcrum is on the two feet, and then extend the buttocks. The safety belt of the electric wheelchair must be fastened when doing this action.
4. Put one upper arm behind the back of the chair, lock the door handle of the electric wheelchair with your wrist, and then perform lateral flexion, rotation, and flexion movements with your body. The upper arms on both sides are extended in turn to achieve the effect of reducing pressure.
